The Beauty of Skin Colors

The world always needs more love, art, and beauty. That's why this short exhibit addresses love, art and beauty, especially as it relates to skin colors. Even though it’s been over 60 years since the civil rights movement, it amazes me that we still have not evolved beyond the topic of race. With the recent discussion being reported in the news that someone in the Royal Family in the UK was concerned about the color of a child’s skin, I am particularly concerned about the message that this is sending to children around the globe.

I'm not a politician. I'm just an artist. So I don’t usually like to get involved in political issues, but this one referring to the treatment, judgement, and the discrimination of people of color is particularly dear to my heart. Many years ago, I created an organization dedicated to peace and nonviolence. I actually addressed this topic of racism a long time ago when I was an Art Director working with low income families from diverse backgrounds who were living in low income housing.
