My painting titled "The Cloud Dancer" is all about "energy".   The art of dance gives energy and life! It is an example of a figurative dancer that celebrates life and the art of dance.  After I created this painting, I also wondered whether I had been influenced by the paper cut outs of Matisse and the linocuts of Picasso.  It's as if I have taken graphic art in the style of Picasso and Matisse and instead of creating with an art poster, I painted a figure in my own style using thick oil on canvas.  In terms of style, my painting is a "figurative" work that also has a primitive aspect.  The dancer's gesture is filled with grace, as if the dancer's creative movement is making the biomorphic clouds join the dance of life and about to make it rain...
