I bought this beautiful Modigliani nude study from Paris many years ago that was sold as "an original." Provenance is always difficult for art collectors, especially for museums... For example, even though it is beautiful and well made drawing attributed to Modigliani, I'm not as naive as I was during my youth.  Paris has many craftsmen. And rather than trying to make a name for themselves, many of them spend hours copying other artists. In any case, to be safe, for now I will just call this an original drawing from Paris in the Style of Modigliani.
