I"m choosing this classically beautiful painting from my private collection because it depicts a nude, yet using a statue or relief in a very-well painted classical Italianesque style. This artist is unknown, but the work is exceptionally painted.  I am one of those collectors who collects paintings that I just like, regardless of the status of the artist.  This is definitely one of the little gems and "unsung heroes" in my collection.
