My next painting has a very primative and "post impresssionist" kind of style.  I kept wondering what influenced this bold style.  Then it I remembered seeing  an invitation from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, that was announcing a VanGogh exhibition.  I found the portraits so striking.  There must have been something about this promotional postcard on VanGogh that entered into my subconscious because my next painting came out in a very "postimpressionist" style.  ​​
