As I was creating this painting my mind was in Paris, but my heart was in Italy.  She reminds me of a aristocratic baroness.  This painting is the epitome of the post impressionist paintings from Paris.  But I must have been thinking of the classical paintings from my time in Florence, Rome, and Venice.  I can see the subtle shifts towards classical Italian art, yet while also being "classically" post impressionist.
