"Femme du Musée"

This painting came straight out of my subconscious.  It's interesting because the painting is very "French"!  Yet, clearly I can see also see the influence that my time in the museums of Florence, Rome, and Venice finally coming out of me.  I spent much time visiting the works of Da Vinci, Caravaggio, Michelangelo, and I also really love Andrea Del Sarto.  While the "style" of the painting is from Paris, the colors and the "mood" is very "Italian" and even reminds me of the colors in the backgrounds of the great masters I've seen in Museums (especially the Uffizi) one of my recent trips.  It's as if it is a new style of Parisienne painting  that's also paying hommage to the masters of the Italian renaissance.
