I wanted to create a new addition for the "American in Paris" collection of French paintings inspired by my time in France.  I chose the theme of a French women of the cabaret.   I loved staying in Monmartre.  The woman in Monmartre have so much "character".  Here I am paying homage to the quinntessential French woman done in the style of my heros like VanGogh, Picasso, and Lautrec.  I couldn't have possibly created a french painting more "Parisian" than this...
