Paris for Inspiration!
I've been in Paris getting reconnected to the city and my old stomping grounds getting inspired by iconic French monuments and scenes from every day Parisian life. Long ago, my entry point into the arts was photography. So I am now going back and using the medium of photography as my source material translating my new photographs of Paris into expressionist oil paintings on canvas. Paris has always served as an endless source inspiration for me. That's why I am now working on a series of new works of art dedicated to iconic French sites like my time spent here visiting the Eiffel Tower, Pompidou, and Versailles. I'm also inspired by Parisianne life, so I'm also painting little vignettes from the cafe's of Montmarte, and even the Paris metro... I also share references to some of my heros from my early years in Paris. I am excited about portraying expressive works on canvas inspired by Parisienne life from my perspective as "An American in Paris". My creative spirit is still in process. So stay tuned! I will be trying something new: This exhibition is still "under construction", but I will post new paintings as they are created and added to the exhibition.
