From Expressionism to the Renaissance
An Introduction to the Classical Art of Florence
Here, we are back in American in Paris Gallery. The unique setting of each artist is important, at least for me! Notice the French Expressionist paintings in the gallery. These paintings are from the "American in Paris" collection. I am now introducing the influence of Florence. How will these French Expressionism paintings evolve into something completely new inspired by classical Italian art? Note: Prior to Firenze I had been teaching myself "classical realism." My paintings were becoming more realistic but still very much "French" and "childlike". Let's see an example:
