New England Crabs
The Joys of Summer!
It's too much work for me to make stuffed crab dishes or crab cakes. So I usually just steam them in a large pot with a lot of seafood spices (like Old Bay) and salt. Eating crabs can also get "messy", so I like to have them outdoors. One of my favorite tools for enjoying crabs is a heavy wooden rolling pin. It's a quick way to start cracking the shells so that you can later peel them off easily to get to the crabmeat. Before I let anyone come near the table, I prepare the cooked crabs in small batches of five or six outdoors while others chill the beers for me. I especially love this crab dish during the summer. This is a fun seafood dish for the whole family.
