Expressionist Experimentation

This painting is my raw expression on canvas.  No filters.  It is a quick painting session "alla prima" allowing me to just sing my song and celebrate my unique voice and imagination.  It is not in any way trying to paint an image for anyone.  This painting is about enjoying making bold strokes focusing on the enjoyment being an artist and expressing emotions on the canvas.  Nothing else. It's never good to "stay stuck" in life, so this painting is about the joy of being an artist without any rules or limitations from the confinements of classical art, online critics, or caring what anyone else thinks what kind of painting comes out of me.  It has the genuine stamp of my inner voice.  After being in Florence and painting in such a strict, disciplined and rigorous classical painting tradition from the masters of the Italian Renaissance, this painting is just a moment in time to have fun painting like a kid without rules like we all have as adults...  This little expressionist painting is just for me!  I LOVE it just "as is"!  In fact, I will keep it in my studio to remind me to never forget to "play" and experiment in my atelier because I should never stop having "joy"!  It is bold and unapologetic. You can see the joy of a child.   I had such a fun, uninhibited painting session and this work of art makes me smile.  Even though the painting on canvas is totally wet, it's already in a frame and will dry while on exhibit in the "American in Paris" Gallery.
