Many Spanish artisan breads are similar to both Italian and French breads and are also served with "aperitivos" (appetizers). When I lived in Europe, I loved grabbing a loaf of bread and going out for picnics as is the tradition in Italy, France, and especially Spain.

 

Here in the American In Paris Gallery I I love making this Latin-inspired snack that combines cold cuts, boiled eggs, and jalapeño peppers for additional spice on the palate, all served on top of artisan bread.
