Italy is literally a living art museum; art is is way of life here.  That said, few European cities can rival the art scene in Venice.  Here I was on my way to the visit Peggy Guggenheim's personal collection at the museum she left the world.  She bought a Venetian palazzo and converted her home to a museum for the public. 

 

Like Dr. Barnes, who created the Barnes Museum in Philadelphia from his personal collection, Peggy Guggenheim made a great artistic contribution to the world with her own collection.  That's why both Dr. Barnes and Peggy Guggenheim have been two of my greatest inspirations on how one person can use art to inspire the world!
