Tuscans love their gardens!  Each time I'm in Tuscany I always love seeing so many homes with gardens along the homes!  Tuscans ensure that their meals are served with fresh ingredients from their own home gardens.  Here in New England, likewise, I also have my own vegetable and herb garden to go with my homemade soups, salads, and even cold cuts.  Here, for example, you can see me plucking fresh cherry tomatoes and and lettuce to serve with a fresh a warm loaf of homemade Tuscan bread that came straight out of my oven being served with cold cuts and vegetables from my  garden. It's really is the simple things in life that make all the difference in the world!!!
