I'm still working on this painting, but I have to let it dry before I can apply the final touches.  After I complete a painting, I like to reflect on where it came from.  Clearly it is is "post impressionist"!  However, I can see a little Gauguin and a little Lautrec. I often feel that my artistic heroes from Paris are guiding and inspiring me.   Nonetheless, it clearly is done in my own style with the bold lines. In any case, I'm very happy to have had this work of art come out of me and on to the canvas.  Whatever the source of inspiration, the creative spirit were the wings beneath my wings with this one.  Next I will do a comparison so that you can see if I'm correct in my assessment of the influences
