Today, the French art poster is immediately associated with the graphic art of artist Henri Toulouse-Lautrec. Graphic art revolutionized the artist ability to reach the masses. 

 

In large cities, like Paris, New York, and Rome, art posters became to be plastered the walls promoting exhibits, art events and even used to promote political influence.  This exhibit, however, will focus appreciating the art poster as a form of aesthetic art and beauty.
