"Next Painting in Process"

Everyone is always asking me "What are you working on now?"  Rather than answer emails, I think it's best to just place it here where you can see it and in a format that is short and sweet.  What I'm doing now is to make sure I continue to create works of art using the Italian Renaissance method that I learned while living and working at the academy in Florence.  Right now, for example, I'm working on this is a preliminary drawing in preparation for the underpainting on canvas.  I'm making sure to use the Italian method, while also allowing some room for creativity and experimentation, not to mention good ol' "fun"!  Classical painting is very strict and rigid, so I  don't ever want to get to the point where I don't have fun enjoying the process of celebrating my own creativity as a creative artist.
