One day I was gardening in my rose garden and I stopped to snack on some smoked salmon with crackers and was inspired to create a Japanese-inspired plate.  I loved using the smoked salmon to create roses. Technically, this is not sushi because it I used smoked salmon, but it was more about creating an artful composition that was inspired by the roses in my garden that I could also serve to guests.
