On my easel is an anatomical preliminary study with the technique of Caravaggio done in the classical technique taught in Florence academies.   My work seen on the easel must be done in several stages over a week or two.  This antique easel handcrafted during the renaissance travelled all the way from Firenze in a wooden crate that had to be custom built.  I transported this classic renaissance artist easel to inspire me in my new method of painting as I pay homage to the masters I've studied in Firenze. The easel is a commitment to continue improving my craft and, despite the criticisms of me and my work, that I stay true to myself and my life purpose as an artist.
