The Art of Cuisine

"My Homemade Tuscan Bread"
My Tuscan Design
As you can see, this artisan bread inspired by my time in Tuscany has a beautiful Tuscan inspired design in a bread-cutting process called "scoring". The cutting process creates a design of the baker. We will review the art of scoring more in detail later in the exhibit. In the meantime, suffice it to say, that making an artisan loaf of bread like this takes a lot of skill, patience, perseverance, and of course "time". The required time especially made me have great respect for bakers as genuine "artists". That's why one of my main messages of this exhibit is to show that culinary art is a legitimate form of art that needs to be appreciated as such! Culinary art uplifts humanity and enriches the quality of our lives. And isn't that what art is supposed to do? When the bread comes out of my oven, that's why I often personally love to pay homage to the art and craft of bread making by displaying my artisan loaves next to one of my paintings. Let us now view a few examples of my homemade artisan breads being exhibited with recent paintings inspired by my time in Tuscany...
