Culinary art is really is about "appreciation" especially when the meal is over.  After having Dim Sum in Chinatown, the Chinese cuisine is so delicious you always end up with an empty plate.  However, one day I wanted to show my waiter my appreciation. So instead of letting my waiter take a dirty plate, I made the waiter happy when he saw that I had created my own composition on my plate for him with the leftover shrimp (see photo).  I created a flower with shrimp heads. He smiled and said:

 

"No one has ever done that for me.  That's so nice of you.  Thank you!"  

 

It goes to show you that culinary art really is all about appreciation for "the experience".
