Prosciutto & Ricotta Cheese
Part of my family is Sicilian. To keep the art of cuisine exciting, I love making several versions of artisan pizza by using diverse ingredients and different shapes and sizes. Here is my family's recipe for Sicilian pizza, with a long rectangle shape and a thicker crust that can feed family and friends. I made this one with with imported prosciutto ham, lots of mozzarella cheese, garlic, and red peppers. As you can see, prior to serving I also topped my pizza with fresh basil leaves and large clumps of ricotta cheese that melt a little with the heat of the freshly baked pizza, but doesn't melt too much. Absolutely delicious!!!
