The Art of Cuisine
Some Like It Hot!
Many people think that Mexican food is spicy! However, that is a misconception. Here, for example, we have several examples of chilis being added to a Mexican breakfast afterwards. Chilis, or sauces, can always be added as a topping to a Mexican meal afterwards if that is your preference. In France many of the sauces come with the food, but that is seldom true with Mexican cuisine. In most Mexican dishes, the chilis and sauces are usually served on the side, and only later added to the meal by choice. Therefore, a Mexican meal itself is seldom spicy, and chilis are always a choice depending on one's palate and preference. However, my preference happens to be spicy. So here are examples of days when I "chose" to add chilis to my Mexican breakfast.
