Here I no longer apply the bold black line. Instead the bold lines turns literally to "French Ultramarine" blue to correspond to the cool atmosphere of this beauty bathing in the ocean. I was so excited because while embracing my inner child this painting was created so naturally without any complication or fuss. I love that it's completely unapologetic. I painted with the total confidence and abandon of a child. Sometimes during a painting session, the creative spirit completely says what it has to say in one stroke before I can even get going. This is always a great feeling! The hardest part as an adult is forcing myself to not care what others will think and ensuring that I not touch and just let it be...  Fortunately, I left it be exactly what it wanted without any internal dialogue of self judgement and criticism. I actually LOVED it just as is!!! So this Ocean Bathing Beauty was literally framed and photographed while still fully wet. And that is how she remains, standing her ground on the walls here in the American in Paris Gallery.
