Embracing The Inner Child

An Exhibition of New Works Celebrating the Bold Inner Child

"The Angel Within"

As I started with a blank canvas, my creative expression lead to an abstract angelic figure with the purity of only red, white, and blue. I also added green. Instead of the painting with the black lines of other works in this exhibition, the bold lines of the contours of the heads and faces of the angels are created with red white and blue. I leave it up to the viewer has to be able to see this in the abstraction.  This painting has as deep meaning for me, but I will let others interpret what they see. I consider it one of my more important recent works. Ironically, the entire work was created in one creative session in a day of working  in the studio. In one session, again I said what I had to say. This work of art was immediately completed and framed on the same day before I even had a chance to mix colors and so that it kept the purity of my initial expression, much like a child, creating the angels with only the purity of primary colors in red, white, and blue.
