For the category of human nature, I’m choosing this early work from a workshop in realism that I took at an arts academy. I have so much respect for the work the realist teachers and artists. Not only do they have some the finest art teachers and the most dedicated and hard working artists, art academies also instill the importance of drawing as the foundation for depicting the human anatomy. This painting was created from the nature of life over a week. Here, to the left of the painting still on my easel, you can also see the model posing in the background.
