Early Oil Pastel

Early Style of Art Prior to Florence!

To show you how my art has been influenced by studying at the academy in Florence, it's important to show you where I began so that you can see how my art has evolved.  So here's an example of one of my early pastel works that were very popular with art collectors.  Notice that I was dividing the composition into separate colors.  It's interesting, because now that I am working into the Italian style of art, I am now returning to my early works like this for inspiration by dividing the subject like I did from my early years living in Paris.   My new series of paintings are now influenced by the art of the renaissance but also returning to my early works to create something completely fresh and new, yet remaining true to my style that now combines both the influence of the style from Paris but also the style of Florence.
