There were so many great paintings in the "Macchiaioli" exhibition.  But because I am a  "French expressionist" I am choosing this one of French soldiers painted in 1859 by Italian Macchiaioli artist Giovanni Fattori.  This particular painting was on loan for the traveling exhibition from Matteucci Institute.
