As you can imagine from looking at this view of the Amalfi Coast, staying in this region of Italy is like being on a different planet.  Amalfi transcends our experience of a life on the coast.  Unlike the busy pedestrians walking on the city streets of Paris, Rome, Florence, and even Venice, Amalfi is its own unique experience that comes from being in southern Italy.  That's why I stayed here for an entire week.  The apartment I rented that week was literally hanging off the cliffs near the ancient cliff-top walk called "The Path of the Gods".  The beauty of the Amalfi Coast is so breathtaking and inspiring, not only in terms of the land but also the local art and cuisine -- a feast for all my senses.
